Hearings Completed- Confirmation for Supreme Court Nominee Sonia Sotomayor Expected Soon

DAY 4 – The U.S. Senate is poised to confirm a second woman to the U.S. Supreme Court when hearings are completed that began, Monday, July 13th.  Currently only one woman out of nine members serve on the Court and there have been 111 total members with just two being women.  109 out of the 111 Supreme Court members have been men.  President Obama’s nominee, Sonia Sotomayor would become the third woman to serve on the U.S. Supreme Court.
