Jody Wagner has won the democratic primary for Lt. Governor of Virginia.  With 74% of the vote she defeated challenger Michael Signer.

Ms. Wagner spent part of election eve campaigning in northern Virginia and then went back to Virginia Beach for Election Day.  Ms. Wagner celebrated her victory at Guadalajara Mexican restaurant in Virginia Beach.

Ms. Wagner is the former state treasurer of Virginia and served as Secretary of Finance from January 2006 to August 2008. 

Ms. Wagner will face Republican Lt. Governor Bill Bolling in the general election on November 3^rd.
