Frankfort, Kentucky, June 18, 2014 – Jean-Marie Lawson Spann today officially announced her candidacy for the office of Commissioner of Agriculture for the Commonwealth of Kentucky. In front of an exuberant crowd, Jean-Marie laid out her goals for the Kentucky Department of Agriculture.
Jean-Marie was introduced by former Kentucky Secretary of the Personnel Cabinet Carol Palmore, Kentucky State Representative Derrick Graham, former Kentucky Commissioner of Agriculture Ed Logsdon and former Kentucky Commissioner of Agriculture Billy Ray Smith.
Two special speakers to introduce Jean-Marie were Natalie and Catherine McAninch, ages 10 and 13, from Liberty, Kentucky.
