Eleanor’s Legacy organization congratulates Sen. Andrea Stewart-Cousins, the first woman to lead a NY State Legislative Conference! Elected to the role in December, she’s breaking ground and setting the tone in 2013. Eleanor’s Legacy hosted a brunch in Albany on the day of the State of the State address to gather in celebration with Stewart-Cousins and other members of the State Assembly and State Senate in honor of her new position and the other fine women leaders of the State Legislature.

Eleanor’s Legacy’s mission is to build a new generation of pro-choice Democratic women candidates, informed voters, and political activists throughout New York State.  Founded upon the legacy of Eleanor Roosevelt, Eleanor’s Legacy takes action to increase women’s participation in New York Democratic Politics.
