Emerge Kentucky Has 11 Women on Ballot Today

Today eleven Emerge Kentucky graduates will appear on ballots across the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Emerge Kentucky is a three-year-old organization dedicated to recruiting and training Democratic women to run for public office.  Kentucky currently ranks 38th in the nation for women in politics.

Help put even more Democratic Women on the ballot in 2014 by recommending a woman to apply for the Emerge Class of 2013.  The next time Kentucky votes in a General Election Emerge will have over 100 trained Democratic women ready to run!

Wanda Crupper Hammons, State House District 61

Kelly Whitaker, State House District 2

Attica Scott, Louisville Metro Council District 1

Cindi Fowler, Louisville Metro Council District 14

Jacqalynn Riley, Williamstown City Council

Kerry Holleran, Covington School Board

Julie Smith-Morrow, Newport School Board, re-election

Loretta Crady, Hardin County Circuit Court Clerk, re-election

Beverly Chester Burton, Shively City Council

Michelle Williams, Covington City Council

Applications for the Emerge Kentucky Class of 2013 are due in just one week!

Sunday, November 11 is the deadline to submit the online application, www.EmergeKY.org/apply.
