Tennessee Annual Economic Summit for Women to be Held Oct. 22nd

The Economic Summit for Women is Tennessee’s largest and most highly acclaimed personal and professional development event for women. (registration is due Monday, October 15th). The event is October 22, 2012 at the Nashville Airport Marriott.
The Summit features renowned speakers, leading seminars on issues that are of the uppermost importance to women; including health, personal finance, executive leadership, using your personal resources create income, legislation and policies affecting women, fair pay, and negotiating tactics for women. National leaders in the modern women’s movement will also lead discussions about new programs and projects with goals focused on 2020, the centennial year of women’s right to vote.
The Tennessee Economic Council on Women will also unveil its 2012 research at the Summit. The 2012 “Status of Women in Tennessee Counties” will showcase economic categories of interest to women for each of Tennessee’s 95 counties such as median income, level of earnings, number of women in the labor force, number of women unemployed, number of women in management and how many businesses are owned by women. You will learn how your county compares with others in the state, and what specific trends have emerged across Tennessee since 2000.
Join us as we award scholarships to young women and women returning to college, and honor women and corporations who are receiving this year’s “E” Awards for Economic Excellence and Equity.
