Emerge California to Hold 10th Anniversary Event May 24th

May 17, 2012

Celebration event features Nancy Pelosi as keynote speaker

This year marks the 10th year that the Emerge California program has been equipping Democratic women with the skills and tools they need to run for elected office and win.

Statistics reflect the success of the Emerge program – more than 200 women trained, half have already run for office and of those who have run, nearly 70% of them won their races on the first try!

More than 50% of our Alumnae and current Program Members are women of color, including 70% in the Class of 2012 alone.

Emerge California women hail from all across California and have wide and diverse professional and educational backgrounds.

On May 24th, Emerge California will feature Democratic Leader of the U.S. House of Representatives, Nancy Pelosi, and Emerge California’s 2012 Woman of the Year, Quinn Delaney, for its annual event to celebrate the impact of the Emerge program and commit to making the next 10 years even better than the last!
