Kentucky Columnist Uses Sexist Remark About Female Candidate
October 25, 2011
By Kathy Groob, Publisher ElectWomen Magazine – Courier-Journal columnist John David Dyche referred to Kentucky’s female candidate for Secretary of State Alison Grimes as “easy on the eyes” in his column about the upcoming statewide elections in Kentucky. He goes on to say that the remark is “probably sexist” but is relevant to the outcome of the election.
“There is no place in politics to degrade a hardworking, professional woman who is running for public office and there is no place for sexism in the media,” says ElectWomen Magazine publisher and former candidate, Kathy Groob. “John David Dyche owes the women of Kentucky an apology.”
