South Carolina Women on the Ballot This November

The Southeastern Institute for Women in Politics is featuring women candidates who are running for election on November 3rd.
Kathy Cantrell, Candidate for SC House, District 48
Kathy Cantrell is currently completing her third year as a Trustee of the Clover School District, where she holds Seat 5. She has more than 22 years of experience working in the nonprofit community for educational and service-oriented organizations. Cantrell has stated that she “will continue to work tirelessly to ensure that South Carolina’s schools are the very best.”
Charleston City Council
During this election cycle, women throughout the city of Charleston are vying for the non-partisan council posts across the city. The following city council districts will have women represented on the ballot.
Charleston City Council District 8: Yvonne D. Evans is seeking her sixth term as Charleston City Councilwoman.
Charleston City Council District 10: Virginia “Ginger” Rosenberg is running for the city council seat that Councilman Larry Shirley will leave vacant at the end of his term.
Charleston City Council District 12: Councilwoman Kathleen Wilson will seek re-election for her council post. Wilson is currently serving in her first term as City Councilwoman.
