Illinois Women’s Institute for Leadership Accepting Applications for 2010 Program

classEntering its seventh year, the Illinois Women’s Institute for Leadership is making its mark on Illinois politics.  Since its founding in 2002, the Institute has 86 graduates of its top-notch women’s political leadership program.  Boasting an impressive list of founders and board members, the Institute offers an in-depth training during the seven-month program.  Each monthly session is held is different areas of the state and also includes a legislative session program at the state capitol in Springfield.

 

The Institute’s program training covers all the campaign basics offered by leading experts in the field dealing with fundraising, direct mail, polling, targeting, media, message and presentation.  A second goal is to help the participants gain a working knowledge of the institutions of government and public policy.  The program also focuses on personal growth and development which prepares women for pursuing leadership positions in public life.
