Getting over the fear of making the ask.

One of the fundamental first tests of whether or not a candidate has the potential to be successful, it their willingness to embrace the fundamentals of raising money. Good candidates work on fundraising everyday, without fail, and devote significant time to making calls to ask for money. Campaign events and fundraisers alone rarely produce enough to mount a serious campaign, so call time is required and essential.
