National Federation of Democratic Women Descend Upon Louisville This Week for Annual Convention

The members of the National Federation of Democratic Women will descend upon Louisville Kentucky this week beginning Wednesday May 30th through Saturday, June 2nd for their annual national convention.  The convention to be held at the Brown Hotel in Louisville, features a mix of social events along with political workshops and organizational meetings. Members from over 30 states will attend the convention including for the first time, members from Hawaii.

Kathy Groob, Publisher of ElectWomen Magazine and author of Pink Politics and  Reverand Regena Thomas, Senior Advisor, Democratic National Committee will conduct a workshop to mobilize women for the 2012 elections.  “The primary goal of the workshop is designed as a panel discussion on how to mobilize women for the political arena,” says NFDW political action committee member, Anita Bonds. “During the presentations each panelist is asked provide include remarks that challenge the audience to use their skills, access to information and acumen to build energy for action empowering the audience to return from the national conference back to their home states ready to put forth every effort to re-elect President Obama and our other Democrats on the November General Election ticket.”
