Longtime City Councilwoman Killed in Tornado Outbreak

Moscow, OH- Longtime Moscow Village councilwoman, Carole Forste was killed Friday at her home while making her way to the basement as a tornado approached the community she served for 18 years.  80% of the homes in the Moscow area were destroyed in the storms.  The storms were part of a system stretching from the Gulf Coast to the Great Lakes that killed as many as 28 people in Indiana, Kentucky and Ohio.  Moscow is located just southeast of Cincinnati along the Ohio River.

Carol was born on January 16, 1948 and passed away on Friday, March 2, 2012. Carol was a resident of Bethel, Ohio at the time of her passing. She is survived by her husband Harry.

Visitation will be held at E.C. Nurre Funeral Home (New Richmond) on Thursday March 8, 2012 from 11AM until time of services at Noon. Interment at Calvary Cemetery S.R. 756 Moscow, OH.
